Flexible seating allows students to make choices that work best for them, which creates even more learning opportunities! Students love finding their own space in our classroom where they feel most comfortable. Providing students with choice gives them a sense of control, which is so important and beneficial for fifth and sixth grade learners! When students feel safe and welcomed in an environment, learning can really happen! Every student is unique, and it is wonderful to have a variety of flexible seating options such as floor seats, beanbags, and balance balls, for all types of learners! I have seen students collaborating with positive mindsets when they are able to feel comfortable in our classroom. Students want to feel successful, and flexible seating increases these opportunities for all!
