First-grade students love to use magnetic letters, whiteboards and dry erase markers! The use of whiteboards and magnetic letters is a necessity when learning how to read. Whiteboards allow students a multisensory method to help learn to read and write. Students can build words with magnetic letters, read the words and write the words. This activity taps into seeing, touching and hearing. By donating to this project, you will help students improve their reading, enjoy learning and increase academic achievement. Learning to read and write should be exciting and students should have engaging materials to do so! Students will also be able to take the magnetic letters home to practice words with their family members. Repeated practice across multiple settings will help secure and ensure new learning. Shouldn't all first graders have fun tools to help them learn?
