In art class we work in centers to keep students working independently and engaged. In addition to traditional art projects I engage students through the use of small group centers. These supplies will create new centers that allow students to explore art through a variety of mediums. The centers are reusable and will be rotated to ensure students have a new experience weekly. By providing small groups the students learn to build creativity and social skills. The centers not only address the standards of learning for visual arts but also incorporate core subjects such as math, language arts and science.
