These materials will be used to create and teach a broader curriculum to students where they can see their races and cultures represented. Others in the social studies team will be joining me on this journey, so that we can reach all kids, not just those in my personal classroom A variety of visual and auditory teaching tools will help us differentiate and meet every student's learning needs. I am requesting books, posters, dvds, flash cards, games and more in order to create a student-focused classroom environment. By supporting this project, you are communicating to our students that ALL people, races, cultures, etc have a place in history and our present world. I am excited to highlight the under-represented populations in our social studies curriculum and show our kids that their personal history matters.
