These books will be used during speech thearpy to directly target inferencing, story retelling, sequencing, vocabulary, and oral language. Wordless pictures books help build oral language skills in an interactive and fun way! Worldess pictures books are a great way to build vocabulary and build oral language skills through story telling. They allow students to focus on their oral language skills without the stress of decoding text. They also give student the choice of how they want the story to go encouraging creativity! Wordless pictures books can increase students' vocabulary and oral language skills which are crucial to reading and writing! My students not only struggle with learning deficits but they also come from low socio-economic homes in which they have limited resources and limited access to books. This project will help give them access to novel books that will enrich their academic environment.
