These books will be used for Independent Reading throughout the year. Students rely heavily on my classroom library to provide them with engaging, relevant texts to use for IR. These books will be used to increase fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, and analytical skills for students. I will conference with my students about what they're reading, and I will use these novels to teach a variety of literacy skills. If you donate to my project, you are putting books in the hands of children, and you might even be sparking a lifelong love of reading. My dream is for every student to be excited when I tell them to pull our their books for Independent Reading!
