We will be exploring the world of words and learning how to treat one another with kindness and compassion in kindergarten. These are skills that are essential to being successful in both school and life. We need books that push thought forward and sensory tools that help students be able to learn to the best of their abilities. Modern books that reflect the experiences and appearances of my students are a must in order for them to develop a sense of belonging in the academic world for their school career to come. We will use books in most lessons to tie together our learning and foster a love of reading simultaneously. Additionally, we need sensory tools that will keep kids focused and help them learn to cope with feelings, impulses, and just the stresses of everyday life. Sensory tools will be used daily to keep our classroom running smoothly, calm kids down, and most importantly teach students the true meaning of self-regulation. My students work so hard each and every day, and these resources will take them even farther in their learning. I want to be able to set my students up early for a successful educational journey. Anything you are able to contribute is so appreciated by myself and my young learners!
