I was able to get the school to pay for one of the books I'm teaching this year (How to Win Friends and Influence People), but I'm really looking forward to also teaching Moneyball and, towards the end of their Senior year, I'll teach Freakonomics as a pleasant read that can be tied to business learning. I know my students will appreciate your help! At the beginning of the year, my students voted on three books to read. I surveyed some other teachers and folks online, and compiled a list of 15 viable books for the course, then I summarized them for the students and we voted on them. Moneyball, How to Win Friends and Influence People, and Freakonomics came out on top, and we're excited to use them in class! Now we just have to pay for them!
