I am a new teacher this year and I am looking to make some upgrades in the lab for my students. The first upgrade I want to make is their safety goggles. The goggles I am funding for are the same make and model that I used in my organic chemistry lab when at university. At the moment students have been using safety glasses (similar to ones used for operating power tools) instead of full coverage goggles. I want to be able to have every student use proper safety goggles so that we are able to do a wider variety of laboratory experiments. This will help students get a better "base" (pun intended) skill set in chemical analysis and a better real-world "view" (pun intended) of scientific experimentation.
