The kiln we have is a health and safety concern. I am afraid if I use it, it might burn down the school. The kiln setter is broken, the firebrick is not in good shape and the elements are hanging out of it. Students love working with clay! Some of the standards I am suppose to teach include clay. This is impossible without a kiln. We do pinch pot animals, poppies for veterans, coil pots and slab pots. I love to teach clay and it is always a student favorite.
