Climate change and climate justice are crucial topics for every student. However, often times the voices which are amplified in these struggles are not reflective of those on the frontlines or those who will be impacted most in the future. Giving students role models in the fight for environmental justice who look like them and share their lived experience is key. This text will allow for students to connect with the struggle in a way outside of statistics, data points and documentaries. It will let them hear from a young person who has dedicated much of his life to this fight - someone who began making a difference before he was an adult. Showing that it is possible for young people to make a difference is the spark of inspiration many have been waiting for. In addition to the urgent message on climate change, this small book illustrates that activism does not have to be protesting or voting, but can be creating works of art. It can be whatever the youth has the ability to give. This is a lesson which will have value throughout their academic career as well as how they engage with the world around them.
