In my classroom we meet everyday on the rug for morning meeting in order to build community. We also gather throughout the day for lessons and other activities. During independent and partner reading some students like to read on the rug so having a new one for them to sit on will be inviting and refreshing. Having these rugs will brighten up the classroom and give my students a comfortable and cozy place to gather, meet and learn. Donations to this project will help my classroom be more inviting for the students. My students will feel welcome and excited to enter their classroom everyday, which is the most important thing to me.
