Providing real-life experiences in the classroom is the goal for these future healthcare workers. Learning suturing and removal spans several healthcare fields. Currently, we have been using bananas for students to practice suturing and removal. This is great for introducing suturing, but students have limited time to practice before bananas become too ripe. These students are eager to learn but need the materials to practice repeatedly. Having a class set of the suture skin kits will allow each student to have an ample amount of time to practice and hone the skills that will be needed for their future careers.
