There is nothing more exciting and effective than self discovery! Could you imagine chipping away at a brick anticipating some sort of fossil or connection to our past? Cracking open a geode in hopes to see a sparkling, crystal formation? Carefully dissecting owl pellets to find the skeletal remains of his or her prey; now that's EDUCATION! My first graders, with their innate curiosity, will remember these activities for years to come. I aim to inspire my students and offer them unique, hands on experiences that will encourage them to inquire, discover, solve problems, and ALWAYS CONTINUE TO ENJOY LEARNING!
