I have taught first grade for 17 years and have helped many students learn to read. After teaching so long my classroom library books are being held together with tape. This year we are participating in professional development called LETERS. I am learning about the importance of including decodable readers in my classroom library. The books I am requesting will help my students by giving them books on their reading levels and interests. It will also help me to provide books that I can send home with my quarantined students.
