We really make the most of all of the resources we receive. We get regular donations of many basic school necessities, but it's harder to get more expensive classroom supplies. We teach all of our mini-lessons whole group on the carpet. We didn't have a classroom rug last year in kindergarten, and the floor can be pretty hard and cold! A thick, beautiful classroom rug would make it so much more comfortable as students gather to learn! Most of the other classrooms have a school rug like this, and I want these kids to have the best, too! Referring to visuals help students work independently and I am also asking for a chart paper stand on wheels and some rings to use for this purpose.
