The students in my environmental science class are passionate people who are genuinely interested in learning and helping to make the world a better place. In order to enrich their education, I would like to take them on field trips outdoors so that they can see firsthand the ecosystems that surround our area. I want to show them restored areas, wild areas, and urban areas, so they can truly see the impact that humans can have on our environment. For my students' first field trip, I want to take them on a wetland exploration trip through Common Ground, a charter high school in New Haven. This trip will bolster their learning in our ecology unit, but I need to pay for the trip since my school offers no funding for such things. I also need to provide them each with a field notebook.
