These materials will set the backbone of my student's learning to live independently on their own once they graduate high school. With these resources provided, I will be able to create a work space in my room for the students to practice the skills before we take them out into the real world to complete these skills independently. The students will be working on independent living task boxes, vocational working skills, practicing to use money, learning to shop, to cook, and to clean with all these wonderful materials provided. I have already purchased and created the curriculum to use, but these supplies will complete the project. Most of my students in my classroom have autism, and often need a sensory area to calm down in. After working hard in my classroom all day, I think they deserve it! With the bubble tube and bean bag, they will be able to do just that!
