In a time where school buildings across the country and the world are close for business, it is so important to continue building community. I am lucky enough to teach a passionate and dedicated group of fourth graders year after year. Every year I learn how resilient children are. At the heart of my classroom community I try to amplify student voice and choice. Representation is so important to my scholars who are predominantly BIPOC.
