We are requesting a tabletop light panel to enhance their hands-on learning in the writing center! During our center, free choice time, most often than not our writing center always seems vacant. There are always a few students who will stop by, but to never return. I want my students to want to write and to become engaged with letters, especially the letters in their name! This will begin to enhance their love for writing and reading while in my classroom and when they transition into Kindergarten. With these materials my students will be able to use their fingers and make letters at the writing center. I have selected different styles to use at the light table so they can be interchangeable throughout the course of the year. For further idea, we will study light and shadow further into the year so our light table will also be able to used during this theme with manipulative of choice as well.
