Chromebooks are an affordable way to get technology into the hands of my students who will take high stakes end of the year assessments to determine if they have mastered the skills to be promoted to fourth grade. Currently, we all share one ancient desktop so the need for more technology is great! Students can access online educational platforms such as Accelerated Reading and use free technology to help build sight word and math fact fluency. They can use them to type responses to writing prompts and take online practice assessments similar to what they will face on state assessments.
