I am a first year teacher who is completing a residency through my university. This means that instead of having a host teacher to mentor me during the student teaching process, I am all on my own. I have been adequately trained by my university and feel ready to take on this opportunity. Since beginning my work in the classroom, I have quickly realized how expensive providing supplies for students can be. My school has recently adopted two new curriculums, and because of that, there are some supplies we need to be successful. We specifically need composition notebooks for our English curriculum. We also will be using whiteboards very frequently for mathematics, so an ample supply of Expo markers will be very helpful. Finally, my students need a new class set of headphones for use in the classroom and media center. I want my students to have an adequate amount of classroom items for a successful year, but as a college student, buying all of those things with my own money is not feasible. Your help means the world to my students and me, and we would graciously appreciate any donations we receive!
