Using these Chromebooks will give my students the chance to explore digital lessons and complete assignments in different ways that meet their individual needs. We are training our students to be 21st century citizens, and having electronic resources and knowing how to safely use them is paramount to their success. As a fifth-grade teacher, I would have my students collaborate on projects and assignments both in and out of the classroom. Additionally, they would learn to type and edit extended responses and essays with ease, prepare presentations to share with their classmates, and research new information. When they go to middle school and beyond, they will be well-prepared for digital learning.
