My students have started a Project LIT Community Book Club at our school! The goal of our club is to read and discuss books together monthly. We have completed our chapter application and selected eight books to read as a club and school community this school year. Help our club obtain the next book in our selection by supplying students with copies of Hey, Kiddo by Jarrett J Krosoczka. We already have over 20 students signed up for the club. These books will be available to all members of the book club AND to all students in our English department. After the book club meeting, we will use these titles for small book groups and for self-selected reading. Reading books and talking about them brings us all together. This book helps students learn about many social and mental health issues. Our club will connect students with community members, teachers, and each other. We need as many copies of each book as possible so that all students have access to our book club titles.
