Recently our students were given Chromebooks. We are thankful for this addition to our classrooms. I teach children who have disabilities and several need to access speech to text while working on extended writing pieces. Students will use headphones to listen to stories and complete work individually. Many students work at their own pace and headphones will allow them the opportunity to listen to the lesson and stay focused at the same time. Students will be able to complete assignments without having distractions from others around them. The headphones will also allow my students to produce multiple extended writing assignments using the text to speech feature. This will help them to understand better especially for those who are auditory learners.
