Step into my classroom and you will be met with the smiles of some very unique students. One will turn his back on you because he's so busy concentrating on his work because he has to meet his goal that day. as soon as possible. He's autistic and he's brilliant. Another student will get up to meet you. He will want to know everything about you. He has non cancerous tumors in his brain that affect his vision, so he will want to see you up-close and personal. Two students have had severe behavior problems because of a terrible home life, but now they are in my care. They will not have any problems this year. One student who got expelled last year has been asking questions about becoming a lawyer that helps get kids out of gangs. One girl is very quiet. She is almost finished with the online courses she was assigned for the year. They are all special to me! I described a few.
