Preparing students for life beyond the classroom is our ultimate goal, as is finding project based activities and soft skills to work on that will aide in meeting the goals of their transition plans. We have gained permission to operate a classroom-ran coffee cart. Students in our classrooms need skills that will help them live independently, acquire and sustain a job, as well as support their transition plans. This coffee cart will support students as they develop skills in numeracy and finance, social skills and peer communication, operations and maintenance (including personal hygiene), as well as improve general soft skills and employability.

About my class
