There are three diverse student learners that need access to assistive technology at all times of the school day. Laptops will allow students to use the text to speech and the speech to text features. Using the features will assist the diverse students with completion of writing and reduce time on task/assignments. This tool will add to their capabilities and encourage their learning. Having assistance at their fingertips will help build academic confidence. Diverse students can answer extended responses with word prediction. They can learn to dictate as well as take dictation and become familiar with using text to speech/speech to text features as a tool. Assistive technology will improve students writing experiences.
