Research shows walking is a great way to improve or maintain your overall health. Just 30 minutes every day can increase cardiovascular fitness, strengthen bones, reduce excess body fat, and boost muscle power and endurance. My students need the motivation to increase walking to benefit their overall health. Providing watches for my students will help to motivate students to walk. My students enjoy a friendly and wholesome physical fitness challenge. It is typical for my students to avoid many forms of physical exercise. Sports, such as basketball, tennis, or baseball do not excite my students like it does their peers. A challenge would be perfect! Students will be expected to meet a standard, challenge friends or teachers. Their watches will give them an opportunity to see their success and measure their steps compared with friends and teachers. They love being the winner!
