Mr. Williams and Mrs. Esbin are looking for science and math tools to complete experiments with the 4th grade. We would like 2 classroom sets of calculators and some supplies for the upcoming experiments for November and December. Please help us find our goal of interactive science for our classroom!
This project will cover serval experiments. In 4th grade it is important to learn how to measure their data. The meter sticks will be split between the two classrooms and used as we do experiments for the year. We will use the stop watches to monitor how long it takes for a task to be completed. For example in one experiment we will be testing pendulums, they will need the meter sticks to measure how far it swings and the watches for how long.
The modeling clay will also be used in multiple experiments and repurposed after each experiment. We will practice building boats and use the clay to hold things in place. We do not normally remember the glue that holds things in place, but we notice when it is gone.
The balloons will be used in our experiment to create a hover craft! Students will build their own tiny models out of old CD, balloons, glue, cardboard, and a plastic cup.
