I want to raise awareness and interest in engineering. Through these K'Nex sets, the students are forced to be creative and open-minded for change. They're going to have to pay close attention to details, too! The students will thoroughly enjoy designing models of roller coasters without realizing how much Math they are doing! They will create a budget for the project in hopes of making a profit in the end for their "company!" They will budget building, operating, and maintaining their group's coaster. Whichever "company" creates the most profit WINS! It's going to be intense, as they are very competitive!
