A mailbox would be a great asset for my 2nd grade classroom. Right now I have to file each child's finished work and going home papers and folders throughout the day. And boy does that take time! Teaching the kids the responsibility of filing their own papers throughout the day and having them individually fill their homework folder at the end of the day is a great step to teaching them how to become independent! It would make the end of the day transition into going home that much smoother. At the beginning of the day I love to stand outside my door and greet my students and, unfortunately, I have to cut that shorter than I would like because I have to file papers and homework.
