These children really struggle in regards to reading, and have little reinforcement with reading at home. I would love to be able to provide a space for them that they can sit and practice their reading during the school day. Being in an under-served community, the school does not have extra funds to fulfill the needs of all classrooms. In my class we barely have enough seats for the students (if I give up my desk). The addition of extra seats will help for teacher conferences. The students need as many opportunities to read as possible. To do so, my class needs more books and a place to enjoy those books. Hopefully with more practice it will help them continue to progress with their skills!
