One of the best reasons to expose children to ukuleles is because playing the ukulele is fun! Since they are small and easy to learn, kids get excited as they quickly learn to play fun songs and melodies. They love the instrument's Hawaiian charm. Having 30 ukuleles will give an entire class of students the opportunity to learn to play the instrument together. For higher level students, they can work in a small group on practicing advanced music, or composing their own! Music helps the body and the mind work together. Exposing children to music during early development helps them learn the sounds and meanings of words. Dancing to music helps build motor skills while allowing students to practice self-expression. Most importantly, learning an instrument increases the development of long term memory.
