Having a diverse classroom where all the students are learning in two languages (English speakers and students that speak other languages learn in Spanish and English), these books will spark engagement about reading and speaking about the topics. Students will read and discuss the different titles to bring their points of view and learn from different perspectives. With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of current topics that will allow them to understand and express their thinking. They will also be able to choose books that interest them. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading.

About my class
