This rug will provide a foundation for cooperative learning and create a sense of community in the classroom for students during small and whole-group learning. Having a rug as a meeting place in front of the smart board to interact with partners for turn and talk activities and interaction with their peers in whole group lessons with designated areas will also with structure in the classroom. My project will provide students with a structured place to meet to share what they have learned and how they relate to their learning with one another. This rug will provide that center and foundation. Thank you.
