I will be implementing a hands-on electronics curriculum designed by the nation's leading STEAM high school, the Dos Pueblos Engineering Academy in Santa Barbara, where I student-taught for two years. Students need to use real materials to develop understanding of physics concepts. Breadboards, wires, circuit components and storage containers to keep everything organized will be re-used year after year to give students hands-on experience with electronics. Instead of just talking about current, resistance, and voltage, students will apply these concepts to make working circuits with real parts. I am a deep believer in the power of learning by doing. Please support my effort to implement hands-on electronics in my high school's classroom!
