Welcome to our self-contained, multisensory language-based classroom for first and second grade students. This is the first year that our district is implementing this type of program at the lower elementary level. Designed to support learners with language-based differences such as dyslexia, our class uses sight, sound, movement, and touch to make reading and writing accessible and engaging. Research shows that strong early literacy skills are key to long-term academic success, so we focus on building those foundations with evidence-based instruction. In addition to intensive language support, we teach math, science, and social studies aligned to grade-level standards, using hands-on, differentiated strategies. Every child is supported, challenged, and celebrated as they grow in confidence and ability each day.
