Teaching students that are on the Autism Spectrum takes the ability to differentiate for each individual child. They all learn in a variety of ways and need to be able to wiggle while working without causing a disruption or being out of their seats. By providing wiggle seats to each of the students within my classroom, I am able to give them the option of that exact ability. Wiggle seats increase the time that a child has the ability to sit and learn a new skill. Increasing this time for a child that has Autism can be the difference in being able to accomplish new goals and skills that will help them grow and function in their academics as well as life skills.
