My students are so excited about learning, they love stories, but when conferences come around the parents are always asking for books to read with their kids. When my student come to me they have zero print concepts. They don't even know the difference between the words and the pictures. Within just a short time they begin to pick these things up, because they finally have access to books. Just imagine how much growth they could make if they had books to read at home also. We are an IB school, and we want quality literature to help push a more global perspective. Literature is even more important for our students because the are in such a high poverty community.

About my class
