We could use iPads in my Math, Science and Social Studies classroom in an endless amount of ways. As a second year teacher at a new school, my resources are limited, and I believe this project will make a huge difference for my students. They will be able to complete technology related projects where they create presentations, videos, and more using the iPad. A valuable learning tool in science is recording and sharing data, and after completing STEM activities, experiments, and even engineering design projects, students can share their plans and findings with the class--and the world--using the iPads. Students can work collaboratively on digital literacy projects, as well as attend virtual fieldtrips to experience different cultures and geography in Social Studies. Most importantly, this valuable technology can help me to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all of my students. In our district we use a curriculum resource to teach math in the classroom called Ready Classroom. This amazing program has an online component called iReady, that gives each student individualized lessons to meet their specific learning needs. Using this program and implementing Math fact fluency practice from an app called Xtra Math, my students will get hours and hours of math practice in fun, engaging ways, that are meaningful to their specific learning path.
