I work in a classroom where I am starting out the year with 26 students. Having that many students requires me to have enough supplies to ensure that my students have the best learning environment to succeed. I am asking for not only flexible seating in my classroom, but some other classroom items, such as felt tip pens, a bulletin board set and books, that I know will create a great classroom environment. Why flexible seating? Students feel empowered by having some degree of choice and control over their environment. Flexible seating allows students to choose where they work and with whom. It also allows them to change their location and positions as needed.
