Having a safe and comfortable space for students to learn is extremely important. I have noticed that my students are more effective workers when they have the freedom to choose where they work. Having flexible seating for students also helps them learn how to make their own effective learning choices. Being in a comfortable work space helps my students to feel more in control over their own learning. Currently, my students only have the option of sitting at the student desks in order to complete their work. Many of them love to be on their feet or feel more comfortable with extra space than the standard student desks are able to provide. The rug space, floor tables, and standing desks would allow students to choose a space that they feel they can be the most productive. I know that sometimes a standard student desk can feel very restrictive and uncomfortable. The products I have selected will allow students to feel more at ease and in turn, be more engaged. I hope to create a space in which my students love to be in!
