The granola bars and water bottles will make it easier for students to be comfortable and alert in class. There will be less need for them to leave my portable classroom and go to the main building for water which will help them maximize the time they spend learning in class. They will also be able to have a snack to help them focus on class and get the most out of their time. Students need to be able to focus in class and they need to be given all the available resources even if they spend time learning away from our classroom. The scanner and external disc drive will allow me to get content that we already have in class digitized so that students can access it regardless of their physical location. So many students miss out on important learning because of illness and other things that keep them home. By having the resources I need to get things online, I will be able to improve and encourage their learning regardless of their location.
