This past summer, I had the ability to attend a teaching conference called Get Your Teach On. I left this conference feeling excited and motivated to get back into my classroom. This conference gave me many ideas of ways to up the engagement in my classroom, which in turn provides me with the ability to easily up the rigor of the learning taking place. With these supplies, I will be able to give my students a multitude of opportunities throughout the year to experience fun, engaging lessons that will get them excited to learn! For example, the variety of glow in the dark materials will be used for Glow Day room transformations throughout the year. We will complete assignments in all subject areas in the dark using the supplies listed. It will be a blast! The legos will be used in reading, math, and STEAM activities to provide a creative, hands on learning experience. The remaining supplies will be used in various room transformations and lessons throughout the year for our Mystery Unit, Fraction Unit, and more! One of my goals as an educator has always been to teach students to the best of my ability. I enjoy being crafty, creative, and unique. I want to use these skills to provide students with unique learning opportunities that they will never forget, while they grow and learn the various standards throughout the year.
