These marvelous guided reading books will provide students with the opportunity for reading at their level. We will practice guided reading daily in small groups. My students love to visualize and draw their stories. We will use the sharpies to summarize stories visually. These activities support their personalized academic goals and build confidence. I hope this will inspire them to be creative and write their own stories. This will support their social and emotional learning by providing them the opportunity to see themselves as readers and writers. I would love for my Native American and Hispanic students to start telling their stories.
