Every Tuesday and Thursday students set up collaborative study groups in order to review, study, or re-learn materials presented in all of their classes. A lot of my students challenge themselves by taking rigorous AP and honors level courses, this study time is an important process in their learning. This portable board will allow them to be "the teacher" as they write down what they know, where their learning breaks down, and other members of their group ask questions to help the learner process their thinking and guide them to the answer. All students will be able to see clearly what the student's point of confusion is, so that they can guide and help each other out. Students will use writing, inquiry, collaboration, and organize their thinking--these are the skills they need to put into practice so that they can be successful college students.
