My students are so often more visually and kinesthetically engaged, therefore, I try to design instruction to provide other ways to learn and show learning. Students learn in different ways from each other, and understanding my student's individual learning needs will only help the entire class grow. Often, I have students work on inferencing by using Pictionary, vocabulary games, or other drawing games. Because I am a new teacher in the district, I don't have established sets of classroom basics, like pencil sharpeners and paper/pencils. I hope to be able to move past these items to more creative items for my students, but at the end of the day, they need tissues, disinfecting wipes, and hand sanitizer, too!
