My goal is to supply my classroom with laptops so students can have a reliable way to get on i-Ready. Many of my students don’t have computers at home, and if they do, often they don’t have internet connections. With these laptops, I can give more of my students a chance to get on technology during our centers time in class. I-Ready is an online program that assists students in helping them achieve their learning goals each year. No matter a student’s level, the program makes sure to tailor academic plans for each child and give lessons that will help them gain a year’s growth. If my students have consistent access to this program, I know that they will only continue to succeed. They are passionate about improving in math, and this will help them take their academics into their hands. Not only will my students have the chance to get on the laptops during centers, but I offer free tutoring after school. I have an open door policy four days a week for any students that want to stop by and receive extra help from me in math. During that time, I also will offer them the chance to get on i-Ready and do some lessons. These laptops will help me do that.
