Our class focuses on celebrating diversity and what better way than to start the school year off with books about diversity and kindness? These books will set the class norms right at the beginning of the school year about how our class community works. They will also be available for students to read throughout the year to encourage their love of reading. The pocket chart is needed for the new phonics curriculum our school is starting to close in the gaps for all students. The phonics curriculum has a lot of letters, digraphs, and blends that need to be displayed and practiced every day. This pocket chart will make that work easy and fun.
